France: 1/8 Nats: Colinet Tq's and wins with Serpent

Colinet Top-qualified with Serpent 966 at the 2nd french national race of the season in Conarneau. Colinet also won the semi-A. In semi-B it was Serpent driver Mathieu to take victory and take his place to the main final. In the final he was able to lead the race and go for victory. A total of 4 Serpent's in the final was a very good result.

USA: Apolaro takes the Florida State Title with 720-09

This past weekend was the 7th and final round of the series and I decided to just run Sedan and finish what I started. I had already missed one race, so I needed to attend this final race. I had a very large lead in the points as I have TQ'd and won most of the races. All I needed to do for this race was basically just register and I would be fine.

A deflection is a shot which redirects a shot or a pass towards the goal from another player, by allowing the puck to strike the stick and carom towards the goal. A one-timer is a shot which is struck directly off a pass, without receiving the pass and shooting in two separate actions. A deke (short for decoy) is a feint with the body and/or stick to fool a defender or the goalie. Headmanning the puck, also known as cherry-picking or breaking out, is the tactic of rapidly passing to the player farthest down the ice.

"One day Rowan went where I wasn't expecting him to go and before I could grab him he was in my neighbor's pasture, right next to a group of horses that happened to be grazing right there," remembers Isaacson. "Rowan dived right under the horse -- every parent's worst nightmare."

Galloping into a new recreation: Horseback riding

Give any thought to the type of recreation you plan to indulge in this summer? If you're like many of us, the economy has taken it's toll on what we can and can not do. Yet close your eyes for just a moment, and imagine a nice mild breeze brushing against your face, hearing the sounds of a light wind against your ears, and feeling the rhythmic beat of a steady gallop. Horseback riding... Now picture yourself on the back of a light chestnut Belgian horse. Kicking up some dust this year may not be a bad idea. Maybe even therapeutic.

Indians use 14-run inning to annihilate Yankees

Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Asdrubal Cabrera's grand slam and RBI single was just a snippet of the damage done by the Indians in the second inning, as Cleveland erupted for a remarkable 14 runs in the frame and embarrassed the Yankees, 22-4, in the third game of this four-game set to open the new Yankee Stadium.

Raw - December 9, 2008

In a critical tag bout on Raw in late 2008, it only took the quickest of instances for the Legend Killer to slip out of a Batista Bomb and execute a hellish RKO.
This, followed with Orton's equally lethal punt, was the last blow The Animal would endure before time away from the ring to recover.

Unforgiven - September 17, 2006

Randy Orton's short-lived rivalry with Carlito ended almost as quick as the Legend Killer's instincts at the climax of their Unforgiven 2006 encounter.
Carlito took a risk by springing from rope to rope to his limber foe, and Orton ensured an uncomfortable landing. It might not have been "cool" for Carlito, but the WWE Universe watching would certainly disagree.

Royal Rumble - January 28, 2007

For a conniving multi-generational Superstar like Randy Orton, no legend (even an "immortal" one) is untouchable.
In the summer of 2006, Hulk Hogan made a rare appearance on Saturday Night's Main Event at the Legend Killer's request, unknowingly stumbling into a well spun scheme by his irreverent nemesis. The red and yellow succumbed to a unique "drive-by" RKO on the hood of his luxury sedan.

Mercedes-Benz adds AMG Sports pack for 2010 S and CL Class models

For those of you that can manage the payments on a lower-end Mercedes-Benz S-Class or CL-Class, but can't quite stretch enough to swing an S63 or S65, AMG now has you covered. Just as BMW offers M-Sport packages on some of its models, you can now add an AMG Sports pack to any S sedan, as well as the CL-500 coupe. New front and rear fascias and rocker panel extensions give some of the more aggressive look of a true AMG model, and the S-Class' front air intakes feature LED running lights similar to what will be on the full blown S63/S65.

Recognized sports

Many sports are not included in the Olympic program but are recognized by the IOC.[14] At any time, a recognized sport may be added to the Olympic program in future Games through a recommendation by the IOC Olympic Programme Commission followed by a voting of the IOC membership. When Olympic demonstration sports were allowed, a sport typically first appeared as such before being officially promoted.[5] An International Federation (IF) is responsible for ensuring that the sport's activities follow the Olympic Charter; from the moment their sport is recognized they become official Olympic federations and can assemble with the IOC and remaining Olympic IFs.[15] Recognized sports that are not part of the competition schedule for an Olympic Games usually become part of the schedule of the World Games.

Changes

A sport or discipline is included in the Olympic program if the IOC determines that it is widely practiced around the world, that is, the number of countries that compete in a given sport is the indicator of the sport's prevalence. The IOC's requirements reflect participation in the Olympic Games as well — more stringent toward men (as they are represented in higher numbers) and Summer sports (as more nations compete in the Summer Olympics). Sports may not depend primarily on mechanical propulsion, though there were power-boating events in the early days of the Olympics.[2] [9]
Previous Olympic Games included sports which are no longer present on the current program, like polo and tug of war.[10] These sports, known as discontinued sports, were later removed either because of lack of interest or absence of an appropriate governing body.[2] Archery and tennis are examples of sports that were competed at the early Games and were later dropped by the IOC, but managed to return to the Olympic program (in 1972 and 1988, respectively).
The most recent change occurred on July 11, 2005, when the IOC voted to drop baseball and softball from the Olympic program for
2012,[11] a decision that was reaffirmed on February 9, 2006.[12] Softball and baseball are two of seven sports, including golf, rugby, squash, karate and roller sports, that will be considered at the 2009 Olympic Congress in Copenhagen for two openings on the schedule for the 2016 Summer Olympics.[13]

Olympic sports

The Olympic sports comprise all the sports contested in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. As of 2008, the Summer Olympics include 26 sports with 36 disciplines and about 300 events, and the Winter Olympics include 7 sports with 15 disciplines and about 80 events.[1] The number and kinds of events may change slightly from one Olympiad to another.
